Company Inception

1978

Charles W. Strittmatter founded Strittmatter Companies in 1978 to provide equipment rentals with operators. Our first customer was Shirley Contracting, who is still a customer today.

Service Expansion

1996

Strittmatter Companies expanded its services to include excavation and demolition.

New Generation

1998

The second generation of the Strittmatter family begins managing the operation of the Strittmatter Companies.

Strittmatter Metro

2009

Strittmatter Metro was born in Washington, D.C to exclusively manage and perform services in the District of Columbia.

CBE Certification

2010

Strittmatter Metro obtained its Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) in 2010 and hit the ground running.
